Let’s talk who pays us! It is a good question, a very good question. As a Buyers Agent, the Buyer is responsible for our compensation (commission). We encourage Buyers to negotiate the compensation (commission) into and with the purchase price. In all actuality, the Buyer is always paying the compensation. In our agreement you will see two different methods of payment and percentages. We belong to two multi-list services (mls), if the property a Buyer buys is in the mls, we accept the compensation (usually half) offered by the listing agent. The listing agent is usually doing half the work. With FSBO’s, we are usually doing both sides of the transactions work, therefore full compensation (commission).
